Hi, former student here! Matt, the English language cannot express the amount of excitement I am feeling from these AWESOME pod casts. It's like I'm back in the class room, but not just any class room, your English class room.

RANT
The book I just finished reading is the National Bestselling, Rant, written by Chuck Palahniuk. To start out I must say that this is one of the most entertaining books I’ve read, ever. One of the most funnier ones too. It’s definitely Palahniuks best in my eyes.
This book is all about Rant, a nickname given to a small town kid named Buster Casey. A nasty kid who is a junkie for venom from things like rattlesnakes wild dogs raccoons anything that will bite him. He gets a high from the rabies that he eventually gets running through his blood.
********************************************************
Meanwhile in the city the population has grown so big that the people have to live on night and day shifts. Day shifts are the upper class. Night shifts are the lower class. There is a group of people called the Party Crashers, made up of a bunch of the night people, who dress up their cars and run them into each other on high speeds around the city. When Rant moves to the city later on in his life, he joins the urban demolition derby, which he actually started. Ending with a major rabies epidemic from the night people of the cause of Rant, The ending goes on a whole bigger scale than that with Rant.
Chuck Palahniuk has written many books, one of the most well known is Fight Club. Also Choke, Snuff, Invisible Monsters, and Lullaby. This book is especially my favorite of Chucks because it was written in the style of an oral history, where its like he interviewed a wide variety of witnesses and putting there testimony together. Making it so that one person says one thing and someone else says something different.
I liked that the book was written in that style, every paragraph was just some ones opinions and what they remember happening with Rant, making it not narrated by just one voice but by a different persons. Also what I liked about this book was the humor, and the crazy people who would just hit into each other and total their cars just for the fun of it. Plus the ending is crazy it opens up something totally not expected.
I think everyone would enjoy reading this book for many reasons its en extremely entertaining book, with a lot in it that will stick with you. And it has one of the best endings any book will give you. It also is very interesting reading in the style he wrote it in the oral history, it’s written like Capote by George Plimpton, or Lexicon Devil by Brendan Mullen. It’s probably my favorite book and you should read it too.
